Where is your Head Office located?

We are located in the old Pilkington Glass head office complex; which is a very historic site and feature in St Helens.

How do I apply for accommodation?

Each scheme in Shap has a referral process, details of which are included on their page on the website. Please see: Housing Support and Wellbeing 

How do I make a donation?

Will I get financial help with my flat?

You maybe eligible to financial help through Housing Benefit or Universal Credit.  The staff team in the scheme will be able to advise and support you to make a claim.  You may have a small amount to pay yourself towards the rent and service charge for gas / electric / water.  Please find information on our Housing Support and Wellbeing schemes here 

I am 16-18 years old and homeless, what do I need to do?

Most of our schemes work with people aged 16.   For those who are homeless and need emergency accommodation we have a few schemes that provide this – include a link to Sherdley House, Shelagh Delaney House and Steps Supported Lodgings Scheme.

If you are in:

  • Knowsley, you need to go to Housing Options which is in the One Stop Shop Surgery in Prescot, Kirkby and Huyton; contact number is 0800 694 0280
  • St Helens, you need to go to Housing Options which is in the Millenium Centre in St Helens; contact number is 01744 675150
  • Liverpool, you need to go to Housing Options which is in Cunard Buildings, Water Street in Liverpool City Centre; contact number is 0800 731 6844 
Do you have any Emergency Accommodation?

Yes, we do.  You need to be between the ages of 16-21 years old.  We have two hostels, one in St Helens (Sherdley House) and one in Knowsley (Shelagh Delaney House), as well emergency accommodation in our Steps Supported Lodgings Scheme.  You can apply to these by contacting Housing Options.
